A Saturday with 4 Little Kids

Last Saturday I spent the day at Katie's and the two of us watched the 4 kids (her three, and Natalie). Obviously with 4 kids age 3 and under, the activities are never-ending... What do we do?

We feed bottles to cute little boys...

We cuddle...

We play games with sweet little girls...

We play with babies who sit in funky colored chairs...

We smell for dirty diapers (and get help from Katie's friends who stop by to visit!)...

And, we make 4 little kids pose for pictures...

Nothing extraordinarily exciting, but a fun, normal day with 4 little kids.

Pride

Here's a post for my hubby who just does not show up on my blog enough! He's hugely passionate about hunting, and he puts sooooo much time and effort into it. Needless to say, we're both incredibly proud of this guy~

He got this buck Friday night~ It was neat for me, since I was there and I helped him with every step of the process... yes, EVERY step.

It was fun, too, to add my own personal style to the traditional "hunter with deer" picture- I'm happy to report that even though this picture is angled and close up and completely different from any other picture anyone at Andy's deer camp has ever had taken with a deer, he loves it...

That makes me so happy.

Happy Baby Boys

The twins are 5 months old now, and they have the most adorable smiles!

They're smiling all the time now, I just love it! Such happy, sweet little baby boys...

Thinking.

One of the things I love most about taking pictures is that I know one day I'll look back at all of the little moments I've caught with my camera and be so grateful to have a permanent memory of it all-- the people, the events... everything.

These little kiddos I'm lucky enough to be "auntie" to will only be little for a short time. They grow and change so quickly...

I already don't really remember exactly what it was like to hold Natalie when she was a baby. When little ones change over time you don't notice it everyday-- then all of a sudden the baby is a toddler and they seem so grown up... And I'm trying to brace myself because that is only going to get worse!

With my nieces and nephews, I try to remember them exactly as little babies but I really can't do it very well without pictures- I even have trouble doing it with the twins who are just 5 months old but who have changed just a ton since they were born.

That's one great thing about photos. If in a few years I think about it and have a hard time picturing what Natalie looked like at 2 years old, I love that I have pictures like this to bring back the memory, because her sweetness is worth remembering!

November, Like It Or Not!

November brings lots of challenges for outdoor pictures!

I took pictures for this awesome family on November 1st...

It was really cold and windy, and we were all running around without jackets, etc. I made a comment at one point about hoping none of us would get sick and of course, who was sick the very next morning and the entire next week? ME.

But the boys were adorable and they are such a nice family...

And this one reminds me how much easier it is to take pictures of adults~ I only took ONE shot of them like this and it turned out beautifully... with kids, I take about 100 and hope for three or four good ones!

And this next one is so serious!

So, a big thank you to this family for asking me to take pictures for them! We ended up getting rained out twice before this worked out, so I was beginning to think we were doomed! But I'm so glad we were able to reschedule...

What I'm Working On...

Last weekend I took pictures for an absolutely sweet family... I have been meaning to get to work on their pictures but I've been dreadfully sick since Sunday, so tonight was the first time I got to take a look at them. Here's a sneak peek of the two adorable boys- I will keep working on the photos and post some more soon!
